  • In 2019, the Spanish company Gaptek produced custom-made metal structures for Astafiev Terminal. The designers took into account the harsh coastal weather conditions, so that the structure could withstand both wind and rain loads. The Astafiev Terminal carefully studied such practices in the ports of its closest neighbors, Japan and Korea, similar to Primorye in terms of climate.

    A team of Gaptek engineers will test the technical solutions on the ground together with Astafiev Terminal specialists. We understand how important it is to ensure compliance with the deadlines for the transition to closed coal transshipment in the city of Nakhodka, specified in the order of the President of the Russian Federation. To do this, we asked contractors to include in their technical solutions the maximum possible efficiency in the production and installation of suspended structures," said Ruslan Kondratov, General Director of Astafiev Terminal.

  • April 2020 — signing of contracts for the construction of a canopy with Primorye companies with experience in working on the largest infrastructure facilities in Primorsky Krai.

  • May 2020 — the beginning of the preliminary stage of the construction of the canopy.

    Contracts are concluded with seaside contractors, which is especially important for the economy of the region in this difficult time. These are companies with extensive experience in successfully completed projects, in particular, at the Astafiev Terminal. Previously, they erected dust and wind screens, mounted a closed-type conveyor, and participate in the construction of mechanical repair shops, — said Ruslan Kondratov, General Director of Astafiev Terminal OJSC.

  • August 2020 — work on preliminary fixing of soils during the construction of the foundation of a covered canopy over the unloading area in the port of «Terminal Astafyev» was completed. Builders are pouring reinforced concrete supports of a canopy 12 meters high. In total, 12 reinforced concrete pillars with unique capitals designed specifically for the Astafyev Terminal will appear here.

    «For us, it was a valuable experience when the construction site was actually at an operating enterprise. Now we are passing the baton to the builders of supports and the installers of the canopy, to those who will continue the construction of this unique structure for Nakhodka,» said Andrei Batsa, director of T-Stroy LLC .

  • December 2020 — the beginning of the assembly of the metal structures of the canopy, which arrived from Spain.

    «Only one of the four largest fragments of the canopy has 4,000 hardware parts (bolts, nuts, washers), about 55 items, a whole bunch. cables that are tensioned under a certain force, so that the structure will be light and rigid,» said Dmitry Malakhov, chief engineer of Alpar Plus.

  • March 2021 — preparatory work to start the installation of the first canopy block. The builders have completed the construction of the central auxiliary tower. Its height is 33.5 meters.

    According to Viktor Panov, technical director of Astafyev Terminal JSC, the auxiliary tower is a temporary structure necessary to start assembling the canopy elements.

    «The main function of the tower is to put a conductor key on it, to which the canopy frame will be attached. And already on it we will begin to mount the elements of the roof itself over the unloading zone of the railway front. At the same time, installation work is going on right during the production process of the enterprise,» Viktor said. Panov.

  • May 2021 — the beginning of the installation of metal structures of the first block of the canopy. According to Viktor Panov, technical director of Astafiev Terminal JSC, the seaside builders with extensive experience in the most important construction sites of the region are involved in the installation.

    «Serious engineering solutions in cooperation with the world leaders in the industry — the companies „Gaptek“, „Marubeni“ and „Schade“ — gave the necessary synergistic effect, which resulted in the shortest construction time. Considering that such engineering structures have not yet been built in the Far East», Viktor Panov emphasized.

    «First, separate structures were assembled on the ground element by element, each of several hundred parts. Later, they were enlarged directly next to the design position and mounted. Each element consists of a beam and a column and looks like a stick from the side. The entire structure is 21 meters high and long 30 meters. The work is difficult with the use of two cranes, quite jewelry — all the holes with its dimensions on the installation must match. But we manage, this is our work — difficult, but interesting, «added Yury Kolesnikov, foreman of the Alpar-Plus installation company.

  • September 2021 — the beginning of the assembly of metal structures of the second block of the canopy. According to Viktor Panov, technical director of Terminal Astafiev JSC, at the moment, wind farms were first installed on the supporting structures of the supporting columns of block B, then truss trusses.

    «The work, taking into account wind loads, is extremely technically difficult. Next, after installing all the roof trusses, we will proceed with the installation of the «half-timbered» — the side wall to the roof. Smaller details of the metal structures will go, this will be much more voluminous work. Perfect teamwork is needed here all installers: on the ground and at height, a crane operator. High-level professionals with rich experience in working at the most important construction sites in the region are involved in the installation. At the same time, the work takes place in a limited space, since the production process of the enterprise does not stop, «said Viktor Panov.
