The first canopy in the ports of the Far East over the unloading area of the railway front

It was installed as part of the Astafyev Terminal modernization program for the transition to an environmentally friendly transshipment. With its construction, among all the stevedores of Nakhodka, the Astafiev Terminal is the flagship in fulfilling the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation in full.

The construction of the first canopy for the ports of the Far East over the unloading zone of the railway front was made in Spain by the world leader in volumetric metal structures, Gaptek, according to the individual order of Astafiev Terminal. The designers took into account the harsh seaside climatic conditions so that the structure could withstand both wind and snow loads. Also, the project partners are leaders in the implementation of protected transshipment: Marubeni (Japan) and Schade (Germany).

Several hundred thousand parts brought from Spain were assembled at the assembly site in Nakhodka. Only on one of the four largest fragments of the canopy there are 4 thousand hardware parts (bolts, nuts, washers), about 55 items. The enlarged parts were delivered to the construction site, where they were assembled without stopping the production cycle of the enterprise, which is a unique example for the world industry.
