Football club «Ocean» is a legend and pride of the people of Nakhodka. The team, which could have disappeared after the coronavirus pause in 2020, thanks to the support of Terminal Astafiev, again began to please Nakhodka football fans. As a result, Okean won the Primorsky Territory Cup for the fifth time in its history, and at the end of the year received a real gift — a new home field, ready to host professional-level matches.
«It is important to note that one of the conditions for the support of Astafyev Terminal was the game of local football players in the team. Therefore, 2/3 of the teams went on the field with Nakhodka. And with such a line-up this year we were able to win the Primorsky Territory Cup and were only a little short of winning the championship. Next year, even more Nakhodka footballers will play for Ocean — I plan to attract this year’s graduates of the Youth Sports School, «said Alexander Tikhonovetsky.
The lower field of the Vodnik stadium was reconstructed as part of the development agreement signed between the Astafiev Terminal and the Okean football club. After the reconstruction, the players and fans of the «Ocean» received a new, comfortable and durable stadium.
Comfortable for fans, anti-vandal seats for 2500 people have been installed. Fencing on three sides of the field. New turf of the latest generation, certified by FIFA, by the Korean company KONYGREEN. The cost of reconstruction at this stage amounted to more than 30 million rubles.
During the test opening of the stadium, the Ocean players, led by coach Alexander Tikhonovetsky, separately thanked the four most devoted fans of the team, who supported them throughout the past season, both during home games and away games. Andrei Stankevich, Evgeniy Plotnikov, Aleksey Marchenko and Eduard Kozin each received a new kit for a fan of FC Okean.
«After a hungry „covid“ year, I wanted more live football, not on TV. Therefore, we decided to support the team not only at home, but also on the road. I managed to make 4 trips, including to Chuguevka. We agreed with the team, they took us on the bus. Now, on the new field, our support will be many times stronger,» said Evgeniy Plotnikov, a fan of Okean.
